What are you currently reading?

I’m almost finished with Kingdom of the Cursed. I enjoyed Kingdom of the Wicked so I figured I’d pick this one up. I’m having a good time so far and would recommend this to fantasy romance lovers. The plot is a bit weak, and I feel like I can see exactly where it’s going. There’s a chapter where the love interest magically forces the main character to do things which I found a bit icky consent-wise, but otherwise, it’s an addictive, easy read.

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished Parasite by Mira Grant. I loved Into The Drowning Deep so I thought I’d pick up more by the author. I didn’t enjoy this one as much, but it was still a lot of fun. I knew from the first chapter what the big reveal was, but the journey was interesting and I enjoyed how heavy it was one the science and worldbuilding.

What do you think you”ll read next?

I’m going to be reading The Goblin Emperor next! I’ve wanted to read this for a while and I finally had an excuse. This is the first book I’m reading for a new blog post series about books recommended to me by friends! I’m super excited to get round to it I’ve heard it has lots of political intrigue, great worldbuilding, and is a bit of a heartwarming read. I need that right now
