Review: Bound by Aveda Vice

Bound Review

Bound is a high-heat, high-drama novelette perfect for monster romance lovers.

Pheir wants vengeance. Her pack is dead, and the Conclave wants to bind her into a forced marriage to an enemy Alpha. Caius and Aren are tasked with delivering her as high ranking members of the pack. They hate Pheir, and Pheir hates them. They have a long history as enemies. But the murderous energy from the battle has given them all a reason to burn off steam. This book is a sexy, hateful MMF scene between a werewolverine, a werelynx, and a harpy as a prequel to future full-length books.

Aveda Vice knows how to deliver steamy, bingeable reads. You can easily read this bitesize novelette in one sitting. It’s more about hate sex than a building relationship, and the character dynamic and tension was delicious. Pheir is absolutely feral, and there always needs to be more feral women in the world. This book is angry, violent, and tense. One of the best parts of Aveda Vice’s writing is the focus on consent, even in situations like this. This trio might happily kill each other, but they also enthusiastically want each other. Bound is a fantastic build-up to a full-length book. It’s perfectly satisfying in itself but leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait to see where this series will go.

Thanks to the author for providing me with an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Author Information

Aveda Vice (she/they) is a pansexual author of sinful stories and infernal paranormal romances. In her books, you’ll find a weakness for queer monsters and polyamorous pairings. She researches true crime, decorates every day like it’s Halloween, and is going to hell.
