10 Brilliant Completed Sci-Fi and Fantasy Book Series

It’s always amazing to start a new sci-fi and fantasy series, but sometimes you don’t want to have to wait ages for the next release. If you relate to that, this list is for you! Here are some of my favourite sci-fi and fantasy book series that are completed. Perfect to binge read!

The Wayfarers Series by Becky Chambers

A series of interconnected stories with diverse characters, fun aliens, and heartwarming social commentary this is the series to pick up if you want a perfect comfort read.

The Poppy War Trilogy R.F Kuang

This fantasy series draws inspiration from brutal events in recent Chinese history. At its heart, it’s a story about the traumas of war & colonialism filled with magic, battles, and amazing, multi-dimensional grey characters.

Teixcalaan Duology by Arkady Martine

This fantastic sapphic sci-fi duology is full of political intrigue and a nuanced look into an Empire that is simultaneously beautiful and terrible. Gorgeous writing, fantastic characters, and complex worldbuilding make this a series you don’t want to miss.

The Broken Earth Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin

One of the most original fantasy series I’ve ever read. The Fifth Season takes place in a world hostile to humans, a world full of apocalypse and dead civilisations. Featuring fantastic worldbuilding, a complex mother-daughter relationship, and an amazing cast of side characters, you need to pick this one up.

Adult Fantasy

The Gilded Wolves Trilogy by Roshani Chokshi

A fantastically fun read set in 1800s Paris filled with heists and character’s you’ll give your heart to. If you need a cast to fall in love with and break you, here’s the series for you.
