What are you currently reading?

I just started The Vanishing Half! I’m only a chapter in at the moment, but the writing style is brilliant. This read is outside of my usual genres, but I’m super hopeful I’m going to love it.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finally finished Legendborn! I bought this one back when it came out, and it’s been staring at me from my shelves since then. I totally understand why everyone wanted me to read it though! The worldbuilding was super interesting, I loved the characters (team Sel lmao), and I enjoyed the way it didn’t shrink back from the atrocities black people face, both currently and historically. I do wish there had been a little less info-dumping, but I’m hyped for the second book!

What do you think you”ll read next?

I’m going to be reading Nophek Gloss next! I’m really excited for this one because it’s been on my TBR for a while. I honestly don’t really know what it’s about other than being a dark space opera with a coming of age story intertwined in it, but it seems like my jam!
