WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam of Taking on a World of Words. It’s a fun midweek reading update that asks you to answer three questions:

– What are you currently reading?
– What did you recently finish reading?
– What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m currently reading Little Thieves! I haven’t read much of it yet, but I love the writing style and the story is so much fun! It’s a reimagining of the Goose Girl story, and what a fun tale to reimagine, especially from the point of view of the ‘evil’ maid. It’s filled with such a magical vibe, I love it. Maybe it’s too early to say but this could definitely be one of my favourite Young Adult books of the year. I’m super intrigued to see where it’ll go.

I just finished Silver In The Wood! I’ve been reading a few novellas this month so I could reach my goal of 200 books read this year (I did it this week!). I loved this one, magical forests are one of my favourite settings and this book created the atmosphere so well. I also adored the Achillean relationship and the main character. I’m so glad there’s another book in this series because I’m not ready to say goodbye yet!

I’m going to be reading The Mercies next. This is a book about an island town in Hungary where the men have all died in a fishing accident. A religious man comes to the town, convinced the women are taking part in evil, but his wife is intrigued by seeing a town with independent women in it. This book sounds like a wonderfully atmospheric read and I’m a big fan of those over Christmas so I can’t wait to get started. Oh, and it’s sapphic.

  1. I adored Silver in the Wood and I still need to read the second book but I’m very much looking forward to reuniting with Silver and Tobias 😍 I’ve been seeing so much of Little Thieves lately and I can’t wait to read it—it sounds amazing. I hope you continue to enjoy it and happy reading!
