What are you currently reading?

I’m literally on the first chapter of The Bone Shard Emperor so I can’t give y’all many thoughts, sorry! I’m super excited to read more though as it’s the sequel to one of my favourite releases from last year!

What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished my reread of The Bone Shard Daughter! I wanted to make sure I remembered everything before starting the sequel. It leaves enough questions left unanswered that you can’t help longing for more, while also giving you a satisfying end to the plotlines of this instalment. The worldbuilding is also superb! One thing I noticed on this reread was how accessible Andrea Stewart’s writing style and pacing is. If you’re someone who wants to get into adult high fantasy, but is a bit intimidated by the density, this book is a great entryway into the genre.

What do you think you”ll read next?

I’m reading People We Meet On Vacation next! I want something a little different after the adult fantasy books I’m currently reading. It doesn’t really suit the weather where I am, but I can bring the sunshine into my brain at least. I loved Emily Henry’s Beach Read, so I can’t wait to start this one.
